The Ridges Sanctuary is the oldest nonprofit nature preserve in Wisconsin, first formed in 1937. The 1200 acre site features trails and bridges leading visitors through the park and offering them the opportunity to explore the many native wildflowers growing along the path for a nominal fee. It is open to the public year round and hosts tours, lectures and special events.
